As we embark on Military Appreciation Month, commencing on May 1, 2024, the CVB extends our heartfelt gratitude to the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces, as well as their families who support them selflessly.
Throughout history, our military service members have made tremendous sacrifices to protect our nation’s freedoms and uphold peace and security around the world. From combating terrorism in distant lands to providing humanitarian aid in times of crisis, their dedication and valor exemplify the highest ideals of service and sacrifice.
This month, we take the time to recognize and honor the contributions of our military personnel, past and present. Their unwavering commitment to duty, honor, and country inspires us all and reminds us of the profound debt of gratitude we owe to those who wear the uniform.
We also extend our appreciation to the families of our service members, who shoulder their own burdens and sacrifices in support of their loved ones’ service. Whether enduring long deployments, frequent relocations, or the anxiety of separation, military families embody resilience, strength, and unity in the face of adversity.
As we celebrate Military Appreciation Month, let us not only express our gratitude through words but also through actions. Let us support initiatives that benefit our military community, whether by volunteering, donating, or advocating for policies that enhance their well-being and support their transition to civilian life.
To our military service members and their families, we say thank you. Your courage, sacrifice, and selflessness inspire us all, and we are forever grateful for your service to our nation. May this month be a time of reflection, appreciation, and recognition for the heroes among us.
Thank you for your service.
