My name is Sean Forbes, and I am proud to serve as the Veterans Coordinator for the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). Having devoted 20 years to military service myself, the mission to support fellow veterans and military spouses in their transition to civilian careers is one that is personally near and dear to my heart.

DFC is a federal agency that is committed not only to fostering economic growth through international development but also to nurturing the talent and potential of our nation’s veterans and their spouses. It is in this spirit that I am reaching out to you, as I believe we share a common vision of empowering those who have served.

We at DFC are eager to engage with you in an effort to educate the military community about the opportunities awaiting them within the federal government. Our aim is not only to provide information but also to actively facilitate the hiring of veterans, active-duty service members, and military spouses into roles where they can continue to serve our country through federal service.

To kickstart this initiative, we are hosting a virtual information session next month that will offer a deep dive into the federal hiring landscape, including how to navigate USAJOBS, craft effective federal resumes, and convert military skills into civilian terms.
