Create a beautiful painting in just one evening and support local veterans at the Essex Veterans Memorial Hall in Centerbrook, CT. The cost is $40 per person, which includes all materials with pre-drawn outlines (or request a blank canvas). Bring friends, family, or coworkers for a fun night of creativity and laughter.

Help celebrate World War II Iwo Jima Survivors who will shortly turn 100. He is one of two known Survivors in Ct.
Joe was on Iwo Jima when the American Flag was raised. He witnessed it from the airfield.
October 12, 2024, the New Britain Marine Corp League will honor Joe Caminiti at the American Legion, Post 2 on Hooker Court, Bristol, Ct. The event will be held from 1 pm till 3 pm in the picnic area. If bad weather, it will be moved inside.

I am hosting a fundraising cookout with a silent auction, $25 per person or $40 per couple, on October 27th from 1 – 4 pm at the pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park, the food will be prepared by Mr. Tom Kupec from Gathering Grounds. The American Legion Unit 196 Auxiliary is hosting a Paint with a Purpose Event. This twofold event is to help the Hearts of Hope an organization that help people grieving loss and tragedy find hope so they can find meaning and grow. Secondly, we want to color someone’s world with hope by donating our painted hearts to military Veterans residing at the Homes for the Brave. It cost $10.00 for each heart that you paint. The 8th Annual Veterans Vigil & Luminary Ceremony
The 8th Annual Vigil & Luminary Ceremony
will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 6pm at Wolcott Town Hall, honoring all veterans, especially from the Wolcott Community. The event supports the GREEN LIGHT A VET Campaign, encouraging green light displays year-round. The ceremony will feature presentations by Gold Star Mother Patricia Parry, Eagle Scout Patrick Grasso, VFW Post 1979 Color Guard, Mayor Thomas Dunn, Senator Rob Sampson, State Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco, and music by AmaSing Voice Students.
Luminaries, available for purchase, will light up the Wolcott Town Green with names read aloud during the ceremony. Proceeds benefit the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall and Patriots’ Day Initiative. Canned food donations will be used as weight for luminaries before being donated to the Wolcott Food Pantry.
