From his early enlistment in October 1989 as an aerospace ground equipment technician to his commissioning as a second lieutenant in December 1998, Major Estelle exemplified excellence and commitment. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while serving at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico, beginning a distinguished career in cyberspace operations.

Throughout his 22 years of service, Major Estelle made a profound impact on everyone around him. Known for his boundless enthusiasm, charisma, and mentorship, he inspired countless individuals both within and beyond the military. A man of deep faith, he led Bible studies and supported his community, leaving a legacy of kindness and love.

Major Estelle cherished his family above all. Married to Major N’Keiba Estelle, he was a devoted father to their two children, Shayla and Raymond III. His dream of retiring to Florida to spend more time with his family reflected his enduring commitment to those he loved.

Although his life was tragically cut short in Kabul, Afghanistan, on April 27, 2011, his legacy of service and sacrifice continues to resonate. Posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, Major Estelle’s courage and dedication to his nation will never be forgotten.
