In the Shadow of Suribachi: Sammy’s Story

March 30, 2025, 1:45 p.m.
Join us in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima.
This outstanding film by Joseph Conforti tells the story of Samuel Bernstein, a Marine who served in World War II.
Sammy, a survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima, tells in his own words, his tale of two battles. The first is his 36 days of hell on Iwo Jima and the second being a Jew during WWII in the Marine Corps.
Sammy’s son, Howie Bernstein, will be here to narrate, talk about his Dad and display his battle mementos.
Free to attend, seating limited
