Born August 10, 1940 – Passed April 13, 2020
Today, on his birthday, we remember and celebrate the life of Paul “P.T.” Joseph Tigno—a beloved husband, veteran, friend, and mentor whose legacy continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
Paul was born on August 10, 1940, and from the earliest chapters of his life, he was known for his kindness, energy, and loyalty. Raised with strong values, he became a man who stood by his word and led with both humility and humor.

A proud U.S. Marine, Paul served his country with honor. He was stationed at the historic 8th & I Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C., where the values of discipline and duty became foundational in his life. His time in uniform was just one chapter of his service—he carried that same sense of responsibility into everything he did afterward.
For 42 loving years, Paul was married to Cheryl (Farrell) Tigno. Their marriage was a lasting example of commitment and partnership, filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. Together, they built a life rooted in community and compassion.
Paul was a skilled tradesman and a respected union steward. He was admired not only for his craftsmanship but also for standing up for others in the workplace. His leadership was quiet but unwavering, and he earned the respect of many through his actions more than his words.
Known affectionately as “P.T.” or “Paulie,” he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether it was through his school days at St. Anthony’s, his time in the trades, or simply sharing stories over coffee, Paul had a way of making people feel welcomed and appreciated. Friends described him as upbeat, reliable, and always ready to help. His humor could light up a room, and his loyalty never faltered.
Even in passing, the tributes poured in. Those who knew him spoke of his generosity, his unmatched hospitality, and the “swag” that made him unforgettable. One friend said, “We definitely had some great adventures and escapades,” while another recalled the warmth of Paul and Cheryl’s home—where visitors were treated like family.
Paul passed away peacefully on April 13, 2020, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Though his physical presence is missed, his spirit endures in the memories and stories shared by those who loved him.
On this day, August 10, we honor Paul’s birthday with gratitude. He was a man of heart, strength, and deep character. His legacy reminds us to live with purpose, to serve others, and to embrace each moment with humor and humility.
Happy Birthday, Paul “P.T.” Tigno. You are remembered with admiration, love, and respect—today and always.
