Run For Veterans offers you the choice to take part in either the 10k or 5K races with both routes certified with the USATF.
Registration shall be available online only and shall be accessible until 09:45 am on April 21, 2024.
Race day check in shall open at 08:00 am on April 21, 2024 10K race start – 10:00 am
5K race start – 10:15 am

NEW HAVEN – Commemorating the men and women who died while in military service, the City of New Haven Memorial Day ceremonies will be on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Elm City and regional residents are invited to attend two traditional wreath-laying ceremonies. At 1:00 p.m., there will be a wreath laying ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on Long Wharf Drive. At 3:00 p.m., there will be a second wreath laying ceremony at the World War Memorial Flagpole on the New Haven Green.

Four Seasons by the Lake

We are having a car show in support of Stafford Wall of Honor, Phase 4. 100% of the proceeds will go to this phase of the Stafford Veterans Memorial. There is a $10 entry fee for vehicles. Spectator entry is free. Line-up starts at 8:30 a.m. and judging at 11:30p.m. This will be a judged show with trophies. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy the amenities offered by the Four Seasons by the Lake facility.
The Wall of Honor is located at 1 Olympic Circle, Stafford Springs, CT. Phase 4 is for all Veterans whose names were not included on phases 1-3 and have lived in Stafford. Every year, we visit all of the Norwalk cemeteries and replace the flags, as necessary, to honor the veterans burried there.
This year’s Cemetery Visitation will
begin at 10a on Sunday, May 19 with a brief ceremony at City Hall. After which, participants will be split in two groups, each group will have a leader with the schedule. Taps will be played and a short prayer will be
read at each stop. At the conclusion, the groups will reconvene at the Shea-Magrath Memorial at Calf Pasture Beach for the concert and Veterans Memorial Ceremony.
