American Legion Veteran of the Month Tribute
Saturday, August 3, 10:00 at the All-Wars-Memorial in front of Bantam Cemetery.
American Legion Post 44 will honor World War Two, United States Army veteran, Staff Sergeant Lawrence J. Chicucarello, formerly of Waterbury, who served with the Combat Engineers in Italy.
The event will start with the retirement of the honor flag of Rufus Stillman, also a World War Two U.S. Army Veteran. The ceremony will take place at the All Wars Memorial, in front of Bantam Cemetery. Light refreshments and social time will follow in the Bantam Borough Hall. In case of inclement weather, the tribute will also take place in the Bantam Borough Hall.
