A critical meeting on the expansion of the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown has been scheduled on short notice.

Location: Middletown City Hall Council Chamber,

This meeting will address key decisions impacting the cemetery’s future and veteran resources. Veterans and stakeholders are encouraged to attend to stay informed and participate in this important discussion

This is very short notice but I was asked to send this out to all Veterans this afternoon while at the Ceremony that was held at the Veterans Cemetery this afternoon.

Tomorrow November 12th  at 7:00pm, there will be a meeting with the City of Middletown Common Council about the purchase of land for expansion of the CT. Veterans Cemetery in Middletown and as many Veterans as possible are asked to attend and show their support for this to happen. 

The current Veterans Cemetery is filling up quickly and land for expansion is urgently needed to be approved.  Your attendance at this meeting to show Veterans support is needed and this should be approved as soon as possible.

Department of Veterans Deputy Commissioner Joe Danao is planning on speaking to the Common Council to provide information as to the urgent need to make this purchase possible to continue to provide a final resting place for our Veterans to Honor and show Respect that they have earned and to show that Middletown, CT. will Never Forget what they have done for our Country and our Freedoms that we enjoy today.

PLEASE, let’s fill the Council Chamber with Veterans to show them that we support the purchase of land for the expansion of our Veterans Cemetery.
