Join us Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m. for a special program co-sponsored by the Memorial Military Museum and the Bristol Historical Society.This event honors Bristol’s female veterans, highlighting their service from WWII to today. The program will spotlight local women who left home to serve in traditionally male roles. A video will introduce Michelena Masterbone, Bristol’s last surviving WWII female veteran, who shared her experiences as a WAVE at Camp Detrick, Maryland, a site of top-secret wartime research.This is the first of six programs recognizing Bristol’s 113 female WWII veterans. Free for BHS and MMM members; $5 suggested donation for non-members. Refreshments provided.
