SATURDAY NOVEMBER 9th RAIN OR SHINE…….
It is time again to remember and show respect to those Veterans that are no longer with us in honor of Veterans Day. The support from those who have assisted over the past years is being asked to continue this honor to our Veterans once again.
The Veterans of the Vietnam War, Middletown, Inc. are asking for help and assistance on Saturday, November 9, 2024, starting at 9:00am sharp at the Veterans Cemetery located on Bow Lane in Middletown to place approximately 13,000 American Flags to honor and show respect to those Veterans that are no longer with us.
Flags will be placed in the State Veterans Cemetery on Bow Lane in Middletown at the final resting place of those who served our Country on Saturday, Nov 9th at 9:00am SHARP. Retrieval of the Flags will be Saturday, November 16th at 9:00am weather permitting.
Veteran groups, Scout Troops, Youth Groups, Public, Community Organizations, and all that have assisted all these years in honoring and remembering those Veterans who served our Country are welcome to show their sacrifices are “NOT FORGOTTEN”.
Please come out and support our Veterans and say THANK YOU for all they have done.
Flags will be onsite and you do not need to register or call, just please show up by 9:00am on Saturday, Nov 9th, RAIN OR SHINE….
Flags will be removed November 16th also starting at 9:00am and help will be needed for this also weather permitting.
Please pass along this request to others to help us honor those who were willing to serve and fight for the rights and freedoms we enjoy today.
ALSO, donations will be taken for Wreaths Across America Wreaths that will be placed in December.
This year we are way short of Remembrance Wreaths that will be available to be placed on the final resting place of those Veterans allowed to receive one. This year Wreaths are $17.00 each and donations collected will be used to purchase the buy two (2) and receive a third Wreath free.
