As we remember David P. Zotti on his birthday, September 12, we honor not only his years but the rich legacy he left behind through his craftsmanship, service, and love. David was known for his exceptional wildlife carvings, detailed wooden ship models, and beautiful paintings. His artistry reflected a deep passion for the creative arts, leaving behind pieces that will continue to inspire and be cherished by his family and friends.  

A proud World War II veteran, David was honored in 2018 through the Southwest Florida Honor Flight, which took him to Washington, DC. This experience was a fitting tribute to his military service and a reminder of the respect and gratitude he earned during the war.  

Though David passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, his memory remains alive with his family. They are comforted knowing that he is reunited with his beloved Madeline, Louise, Bobby, and his parents, brothers, and sisters.  

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to S.W. Florida Honor Flight Inc., continuing the mission that meant so much to David during his life.  

Today, on his birthday, we celebrate the vibrant life he lived, filled with service, creativity, and love. May his memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
