CVB’S Thursday 26 February 2026 Preview of Saturday’s Calendar Publication.

In this week’s Thursday Preview, we spotlight the latest additions to our Veterans Calendar for the upcoming Saturday, 28 February 2026 Edition. These events and programs are thoughtfully curated to support and engage Connecticut’s veteran community.

For a complete list of events and more details, please refer to the full Connecticut Veterans Calendar in our upcoming publication or though our previous publication doesn’t include the events here, it has the all others.

The Thursday 26 February 2026 Preview of the CONNECTICUT VETERANS BULLETIN not only provides an advance look at the upcoming Saturday 28 February statewide veterans calendar, but also commemorates the anniversary of the Desert Storm Cease Fire declared on February 26, 1991. This edition recognizes the service and sacrifice of Connecticut’s Gulf War veterans while highlighting key upcoming events including the Grand Opening of the Museum of the Battle of Iwo Jima in East Hartford, the tribute ceremony honoring Major General Maurice Rose in Middletown, the Veterans Resource Fair in Torrington, VFW Post 1523 Fish & Chips in Putnam, and the American Legion Post 20 Ziti & Meatball Benefit Dinner in Terryville. Additional listings span tournaments, appreciation days, fundraisers, community outreach programs, and veteran support services scheduled through August 2026, reinforcing CVB’s role as Connecticut’s most comprehensive and consistently updated veterans event calendar.

A public ceremony will honor Major General Maurice Rose of Middletown, Connecticut, the highest-ranking U.S. officer killed in action in the European Theater during World War II.
