CVB’S Maundy Thursday, 2 April 2026 Preview of Saturday’s Calendar Publication

In this week’s Thursday Preview, we spotlight the latest additions to our Veterans Calendar for the upcoming Saturday, 4 April 2026 Edition. These events and programs are thoughtfully curated to support and engage Connecticut’s veteran community.

Maundy Thursday, observed during Holy Week on the Thursday before Easter, commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples. It is a day of reflection, humility, service, and community, emphasizing acts of giving and remembrance. These themes resonate strongly with Connecticut’s veteran community and the CVB network, where service, fellowship, and honoring sacrifice are central values.

This Maundy Thursday, 2 April 2026, the Connecticut Veterans Bulletin presents a preview of the upcoming Saturday, 4 April 2026 Veterans Calendar publication. Maundy Thursday, rooted in the tradition of the Last Supper, emphasizes service, reflection, and community—values that resonate deeply within the CVB network. Just as this day honors selflessness and remembrance, our veteran community comes together to support one another, strengthen connections, and celebrate both heritage and fellowship.

This week’s Thursday Preview highlights a variety of events designed to engage Connecticut veterans and their families. Featured programs include the VFW Post 149 Kid’s BINGO in Danbury, giving children a fun day while supporting local families; the 1st Anniversary of the WWII Museum & Pvt Joe Roman Tea & Jelly Donut Day in East Hartford, celebrating the museum’s legacy and honoring Pvt. Joseph Roman; and the Jewett City VFW Easter Brunch, where veterans and families gather for a festive meal and holiday celebration.

In addition, the Preview spotlights programs addressing veteran needs and interests, including A Path to Homeownership for Veterans & Active Military in Cromwell, along with entertainment and community engagement events such as American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 Magic Show, Port 5 Fishing Club Breakfast, VFW Post 5095 Family BINGO, and the Build Your Own Bouquet Flower Bar Fundraiser. Upcoming grab-and-go dinners, fundraisers like Jukebox Bingo supporting local sports programs, comedy nights featuring Dave Reilly, and spring blood drives through the Dayville Fire Company 63 further reinforce the themes of service, community, and giving that define both Maundy Thursday and the CVB mission.

For Connecticut veterans and families, this Thursday Preview is an essential guide to the events that connect, celebrate, and support the community. The full Connecticut Veterans Calendar will provide complete event details, locations, and registration this Saturday, 4 April 2026.
