Welcome to Connecticut’s premiere military and veterans event calendar publication. This weekly digital edition coordinates and organizes military veteran activities, community support programs, and essential resources across the state. This June 20, 2026 publication commemorates the historic establishment of the United States Army Air Forces on June 20, 1941, honoring the legacy of those who served in the skies.
To streamline information flow, our calendar is broken down into three town-specific and program-focused volumes, keeping Connecticut service members, veterans, and military families connected to local happenings:
- Volume 1 (Current Month Events): Focuses on local military and community listings scheduled from June 20 through June 30, 2026. This volume features 49 total remaining June events, highlighting the Building Homes for Heroes 3rd Annual CT Car Show at the South Glastonbury Elks Lodge.
- Volume 2 (Events Beyond This Month): Looks ahead with 220 regional CT veterans events scheduled from July 1 through December 28, 2026. This volume highlights the 18th Annual Jason Lantieri Memorial Golf Tournament at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield to benefit the Jason Lantieri Memorial Foundation.
- Volume 3 (Recurring Programs & VOB Directory): Your permanent resource hub for multi-date programs, resource directories, food and dining schedules (including local VFW and American Legion breakfasts and dinners), recreational activities like Mystic VFW Karaoke, and vital support services.

I am not a veteran. I am a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the United States Air Force Auxiliary. But in 1991, personal loss brought me to a place I never left.
Over two decades later, that loss led me to the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, Connecticut, where I took on the coordination of Wreaths Across America — which grew into the largest and fastest growing veterans program in the state. I didn’t do it for recognition. I did it for them.
In 2016 I founded the Connecticut Veterans Bulletin. Not because I served, but because I believe those who did deserve to be honored, connected, and kept alive.
Twenty-two veterans die by suicide every day. I knew about that number before it became a hashtag. I knew it personally, long before anyone was talking about it.
This publication exists because that number is unacceptable. Because every veteran in Connecticut deserves to know someone gives a damn.
That someone is me.
