Honoring a Hero: House of Heroes CT and The Walker Group Team Up for Bristol Veteran

​House of Heroes Connecticut (HOHCT) is proud to announce its upcoming service project this Friday, July 31, 2026, supporting a local hero in Bristol, Connecticut. The Hamden-based non-profit Veterans Service Organization is partnering with Farmington’s The Walker Group to provide critical home repairs for James Albrycht, a 79-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient who was seriously wounded in Vietnam in 1967.

​This meaningful collaboration marks the 314th project completed by House of Heroes Connecticut since its founding in 2012. Volunteers and team members will spend the morning at Albrycht’s residence addressing essential safety and accessibility needs, ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment for the decorated veteran.
